There is only one man in the world who could get away with this kind of behaviour at work. And that’s Simon Cowell. The rest of us – well, we would have been sacked if we over-ran our soak in the bath and ended up two hours late for work! Especially when work equals judging Britain's Got Talent auditions!
But in the world of Si-Co, things are very different, so it was probably no surprise to anyone that the judge turned up a couple of hours late to the Cardiff auditions on Saturday – keeping fellow panelists Alesha Dixon and David Walliams and presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly waiting – and all because he fancied a long lemon-scented soak in his bath at home.
In fact, after waiting for Simon for those two hours, a rather desperate Dec tweeted at 4pm, “If you’re outside in the Q in Cardiff tweet @SimonCowell and tell him to hurry up!!”
We’re not sure if he knew what Simon’s excuse was at this point.
And that wasn’t all. According to insiders, one bath wasn’t enough for the music mogul. Apparently, he disappeared for another soaking between the afternoon and evening audition slots too – delaying the last live show by 90 long minutes!
A source complained, “Simon's a law unto himself. He never gets up before noon and is happy working late at night. The problem is the thousands of people who turned up for the show - as well as Ant and Dec and his fellow judges David and Alesha — were on time. They had to sit twiddling their thumbs for a couple of hours while he pampered himself in his suite.”

Oh Simon, we know you’re pretty much boss of the world but that doesn’t mean you can be so cheeky with your time-keeping. We know if that was us sitting there waiting for you, we’d be in a massive huff.
David Walliams however took a different approach and asked to smell Simon when he returned – just to make sure he wasn’t lying about what he had been up to…
