The return of Britain’s Got Talent is just days away, so what can we look forward to in the new series? If Simon Cowell is to be believed the talent on stage will be more breathtakingly impressive than ever – all because he’s back!
“I am really happy to be back on the BGT judging panel,” admits Simon. “I wasn’t sure first of all if I wanted to do it, but now I’ve got stuck in it’s a big, big difference being there from the beginning compared to last year when I just had to come in and do the live shows. You don’t feel connected,” the BGT boss admits. “Now I feel connected and I think the talent is better now that I am back.”
Simon has also confessed that he wants the winner of the show to have genuine talent, and not get through to the finals on the basis of sad sob story,
“You want the winners to go on and have careers, not just pick up a cash prize so that’s why we’ve got to be careful about who we put through to the finals,” continues Simon, “we don’t want somebody winning just because they’ve got a sob story. You want a really, really talented person to be winning the show.”
According to Ant and Dec we should expect plenty of flirting from the new series of BGT. Speaking about the new judges Ant says,
“They all interact really well, and know exactly what they’re looking for. Also, David Walliams constantly flirts with Simon, which is very funny to watch!
The boys also agree that the talent this year is better than ever, “We’ve been really pleased with the level of talent all the way through; it’s definitely a step up from last year,” says Ant.
“There’s a lot more variety this year, lots of different acts,” confirms Dec. “They should make for some very interesting semi-finals.”
