I get $13 [a week] now, because I’m 13. My chores have gotten a little heavier
Biography:
Budding actress Abigail is a breathe of fresh air amidst the mounting number of perfectly polished cookie-cutter Disney starlets. She began acting at the age of three, appearing in commercials. Her first feature film role was in 2002, starring in M. Night Shyamalan’s sci-fi hit Signs. Only five years old at the time, her performance garnered serious critical praise.
Abigail’s breakthrough role was in the 2006 comedy-drama Little Miss Sunshine. An indie hit, she starred alongside Greg Kinnear and at age 10 was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award as well as an Oscar for her performance.
Branching out into stage work the following year, Abigail tread the boards with Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman in Right You Are (If You Think You Are) in New York. She’s since gone on to star in some romantic comedy fluff, the tween hit Kit Kitteredge: An American Girl, and some darker roles in 2009’s My Sister’s Keeper and the comedy horror flick Zombieland.
Not content with just a flourishing Hollywood acting career, Abigail’s also started her own rock band, CABB, with her pal Cassidy Reiff. For those about to rock (rather than churn out another Hannah Montana tween pop number), we salute you.
