Biography
Hunky bad boy Alex was born in Stevenage, but brought up in Windsor. He attended public school and boarding school before heading off to London to join the renowned Sylvia Young Theatre School to work on his acting chops.
Alex was already a model by that point, having been spotted by Ralph Lauren in a New York toy store as a kid. He landed his first modelling job at the age of six and went on to become a child model for The Gap, later fronting campaigns for Burberry.
His first acting breakthrough came when he landed the role of Tom Brown in the ITV adaptation of Tom Brown’s School Days. But it wasn’t until he appeared as the MI6 spy Alex Rider in the hit movie Stormbreaker in 2005 that Alex really registered on our radar. Becoming an instant teen idol, his next role in Wild Child saw him cast opposite Emma Roberts. The couple dated for a while and Alex still has a tattoo of her initials on his wrist.
Alex has since gone on to star in I Am Number Four and Beastly, opposite Vanessa Hudgens. He’s developed a reputation as a bad boy, sporting seven tattoos, starring in some racy photo shoots, being banned from several Oscar after-parties and rumours are that his agents aren’t too keen on his arrogant attitude.
