Biography
Cage fighting muscle man Alex began his martial arts career aged 14. At first studying Kung-Fu and Karate, he moved on to boxing and kickboxing, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and finally Mixed Martial Arts. He is clearly not somebody you want to get in a fight with.
After a three-year stint as a Territorial Army soldier in an elite parachute regiment, Alex decided to study acting at the Guildford School of Acting in Surrey in 1998. Under the stage name Alex Thorne, he picked up extras roles in Eyes Wide Shut, Sliding Doors and Soldier, Soldier, as well as being Tom Hanks’ stand-in for Saving Private Ryan and playing the part of Jason Cunliffe in Hollyoaks for a year.
Before finding fame, Alex starred in the tasteless, terrible, and pornographic, Killer Bitch. It was never released – until Alex became tabloid fodder that is. The producers then launched the movie, with Alex boycotting the premiere claiming he had been used for publicity. And talking of being used for publicity…
Alex met glamour model extraordinaire Katie Price in July 2009. Their very public relationship led to a very public Las Vegas wedding in February 2010, and a very public divorce in January 2011. Katie claims she never loved him. Sob.
When he’s not competing in MMA championships, Alex works as a personal trainer. He began dating yet another glamour model, this time it’s former Celebrity BB winner Chantelle Houghton, in May 2011. Could it be for real this time?…
