Biography
One of Hollywood’s freshest bright young things, Amanda started out as a child model at age 11, working alongside Leighton Meester. In her teens she took training in opera and vocal techniques, studying with a Broadway coach.
Amanda’s first big break came with her first ever feature film role as ditzy Karen Smith in 2004’s Mean Girls alongside Lindsay Lohan. Originally she auditioned to play the role of Regina George. Winning an MTV Award for her performance she moved on to a recurring role in hit teen TV drama Veronica Mars.
She gained some serious attention and rave reviews for her role in the dark HBO hit drama Big Love alongside Chloe Sevigny from 2006 to 2010. Her biggest movie role to date has been as the lead alongside Meryl Streep in the smash hit ABBA musical flick Mamma Mia! The film launched her as a young leading lady and she’s since progressed to major roles in comedy horror Jennifer’s body, Chloe, Letters to Juliet and Red Riding Hood.
Amanda has already dated some of Hollywood’s most eligible young bachelors, including Emile Hirsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Ryan Phillipe, and her Mamma Mia! co-star Dominic Cooper.
