Biography
Anne’s first dalliances with her future profession came when she was still in school. Having decided she wanted to be an actress, Anne began auditioning for roles and landed a part on TV series Get Real, aged 16.
She hit the big screen with her portrayal of Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries in 2001. After The Princess Diaries 2, Anne moved on to a role in the award winning Brokeback Mountain, alongside Heath Ledger, Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Williams. She also starred in heat favourite The Devil Wears Prada.
In 2008 her good looks came in handy and she became the face of Lancome’s fragrance Magnifique.
Anne is starring as Fantine in the movie adaptation of Les Miserables out later this year, in which she sings as well as acts. Let’s get this straight – she can act, sing AND she’s easy on the eye?
