Westlife megababe Brian was born in Dublin and began singing and dancing at an early age. He attended the Billie Barry Stage School in Dublin, which led to roles on Irish TV and onstage. But his big break came when he auditioned for Westlife in June 1998.

Brian, Kian, Mark, Nicky and Shane were chosen to form the boyband that would steal Boyzone’s crown as the kings of Irish pop. With Louis Walsh at the helm, Westlife went on to sell more than 44 million records worldwide, becoming the first band in UK and Irish history to go straight to number 1 with their first seven singles. Despite Westlife’s massive success, Brian left the group in 2004 to concentrate on his solo career.

Since 2004 Brian’s released three solo albums, and scored two number 1 singles, one of them his 2005 duet with his then girlfriend Delta Goodrem. He’s currently working on his fourth album and since 2010 has been a judge alongside Dannii Minogue on Australia’s Got Talent.

As for the ladies, Brian is partial to a bit of pop tart. He dated Aqua’s Lena’ Barbie Girl’ Rasted, and S Club 7’s Hannah before marrying Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona in 2002. Following their very messy split in 2004, Brian began dating and then became engaged to Aussie pop babe Delta Goodrem. The couple split on April Fool’s Day 2011, Delta’s now with Nick Jonas, and Brian’s been out drowning his sorrows with Callum Best.
