Biography
Born into a family of musicians in Hawaii, Bruno began performing five nights a week at the age of four with his family's band, The Love Notes. As a youngster he was noted for his Elvis impersonation, and he played a cameo as Little Elvis in the film Honeymoon in Vegas in 1992.
Moving to LA at age 17 to work on music career, he signed to a go-nowhere deal with Motown Records in 1994. Forming his group of superproducers The Smeezingtons, he has produced and written songs for Alexandra Burke, Sugababes, Brandy, Flo Rida, Brave New World and Cee Lo Green, co-writing his 2010 smash hit F*ck You.
In October 2010, Bruno released his debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, peaking at number 3 in the US and scooping 7 Grammy nominations. The album’s lead single Just the Way You Are topped the US charts and earned Bruno a Grammy for Best Male Vocal.
