Biography
The most drooled-over actress of the 90’s, Cameron started out as a model at age 16, modelling all over the world. She was back in LA by age 21 and won her breakthrough role in 1994’s The Mask alongside Jim Carey despite having no previous acting experience.
The movie launched her career and a million lads mag covers followed. She stuck to low-budget indies like Feeling Minnesota for a while before returning to the mainstream in My Best Friend’s Wedding in 1997 and sported some interesting hair in There’s Something About Mary.
Transitioning from comedies to more serious roles, she gave an acclaimed makeunder performance in Being John Malkovitch earning Golden Globe, BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild nominations, with further Golden Globe nominations for her roles in Vanilla Sky and Martin Scorcese’s Gangs of New York, before going on to voice Princess Fiona in the blockbuster Shrek movie franchise.
As a leggy, blonde superstar with tomboy charm, Cameron’s attracted some serious A-list suitors, including Matt Dillon, Edward Norton, Jared Leto, Robbie Williams and Justin Timberlake. From July 2010 she’s been dating New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
