Biography
Cute singing sensation Connie Talbot is one very talented little lady. She began singing at the age of two and by the age of six she had reduced grown men to tears with her rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow on the first series of Britain’s Got Talent.
Born in Streetly, where she still lives attending a state primary school, Connie auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent in 2007, getting through to the final and coming second to Paul Potts (remember him?) Simon Cowell turned down the chance to sign Connie but declined, saying that she was just too young.
Well, Connie sure showed Simon. While her first album didn’t do so well in the UK, her debut single, the Bob Marley cover Three Little Birds, shot to number one in America. She’s since gone on to appear on Oprah and the Ellen DeGeneres Show. She’s now released three albums and has toured the US, Europe and Asia. Still only eleven years old, Connie’s currently got half the internet in tears with her amazing covers of songs like Someone Like You by Adele being posted on Youtube.
