Biography
Hunky Glee jock Cory was brought up by his mum in Calgary, Canada, his dad in the military. A troubled teen, he dropped out of high school at age 13. Working menial jobs as a Wal-Mart store greeter, a taxi driver, school bus driver, and roofer he got into drink and drugs before being confronted by his family at age 19 and going to rehab.
All cleaned up, Cory embarked on his acting career. His first feature film role came in 2006’s Final Destination 3, and he landed roles in a number of TV shows that were filmed in his native Canade, including the MTV series Kaya in 2007, Kyle XY, and episodes of Smallville and Stargate.
Cory’s big break came in 2009, when he was cast as the male lead Finn Hudson in the smash hit TV musical phenomenon that is Glee. Drumming since the age of 4, Cory auditioned via a video a tape of him playing drums on pots, pans and Tupperware to win the role. When he sang at his first official Glee audition, it was the first time he had ever sung in front of an audience.
Due to leave the Glee series when is character graduates at the end of season three, Cory currently plays in indie rock band Bonnie Dune and is set to star in the rom-com Monte Carlo alongside Selena Gomez in 2011.
