Biography
David Beckham was simply known as a kind of cute Manchester United footballer before he met his wife Victoria, got a few silly haircuts, moved to Beckingham Palace and became one of the hottest, most talked about and not to mention, most bankable men on the planet.
In 1997, David spotted Victoria in the Say You’ll be There Spice Girls video, telling his mates that she was the lady for him. Luckily for Dave, Vic came to watch a Manchester United match and viola! Posh and Becks were born! They married in 1999 and now have three children, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, they couple are expecting their fourth baby, what will be one super stylish little girl, in the summer.
David made controversy during the 1998 World Cup when the silly sausage only went and kicked the opposition (literally), leading to a red card and ultimately England’s exit from the World Cup. The nation was appalled and poor David received death threats and was quite probably the most hated man in the UK for a while.
Soon the country came to its senses and David and his ever reliable left foot regained popularity and David became famous for a lot more than football. Posh and Becks could sell anything, so they did, becoming the faces of everything from perfumes to razors to Gameboy games. We also quickly learned that Dave looks pretty nice in his smalls, when he modelled underwear for Armani billboards which surely should have been labelled a traffic hazard.
However, the Beckham’s were to be rocked by even more controversy in 2004 when their former PA, Rebecca Loos alleged that she had an affair with David while the couple were living in Madrid as part of David’s four year contract with Real Madrid. David, to this day, denies the claims however Victoria has gone on record saying it was the most difficult time the couple have faced.
In 2007, David moved his family to Los Angeles to play for LA Galaxy. He and Victoria became instant stars in the US and their welcome party was attended by everyone from Will Smith to Oprah.
The Beckhams are currently in LA after the birth of their fourth child, a little girl called Harper Seven Beckham.
