Biography
Former Big Brother hostess with the mostess Davina had a turbulent childhood with her alcoholic mum leaving the family when she was a youngster. Living with her grandparents she went to an all-girls school and at 18 she started dating old family friend Eric Clapton, and we mean oooold, he was 22 years her senior.
Starting out singing in a band, Eric produced her demos, but her music career never took off. Davina worked for Models 1, ran a restaurant, worked as a singing waitress in Paris and then as a nightclub hostess. She developed a serious drug habit but cleaned up her act to become an MTV Europe presenter in 1992.
From 1998 she’d moved to Channel 4 presenting their hit dating show Streetmate before landing her biggest TV presenting gig in 2000 hosting the entire run of Big Brother through to 2010. She’s since presented seriously high-profile gigs like the BRIT Awards, Popstars: The Rivals and Comic Relief, with acting roles in Doctor Who and the Big Brother zombie-horror cult hit Dead Set in 2008. She’s currently presenting The Biggest Loser and Got to Dance.
Following a stormy relationship with footballer Stan Collymore and a two-year marriage to Andrew Leggett, Davina married Pet Rescue presenter Matthew Robertson in 2000. The couple have a son, Chester Micky, and two daughters, Holly Willow and Tilly Pippy.
