Biography
Drop dead gorgeous Demi was born in New Mexico and had a more turbulent childhood than most. Her dad out of the picture before she was born, Demi was brought up by her mum and stepdad who were both violent alcoholics. Due to her stepdad’s work, the family moved house more than 40 times before settling in LA when Demi was 14 years old.
Attending Fairfax High School in Hollywood, she dropped out at age 16 to pursue an acting career. Her first big break came with a role in huge hit TV soap General Hospital in 1982. She would then go on to become one of the most in-demand actresses of the 80’s and 90’s, with roles in St. Elmo’s Fire, A Few Good Men, and Ghost.
She earned a named for herself as Hollywood’s sauciest actress with steamy performances in the likes of Disclosure, Indecent Proposal and Striptease. She took a break from acting before making headlines with her comeback in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle in 2003, thanks to her unbelievably fit bod.
She married singer Freddy Young at the age of 17, keeping his surname, and famously went on to an engagement to fellow Brat Packer Emilio Esteves, marrying Bruce Willis in 1987, then marrying toyboy Ashton Kutcher in 2005. Demi has three children from her marriage to Bruce Willis – Rumer, Tallulah and Scout.
