Biography

Born into a footballing family, Frank’s dad was a former West ham United player and manager, and his uncle is Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp. A well-to-do young lad, Frank attended the independent Brentwood School and achieved eleven GCSEs, including an A* in Latin.

Frank started his professional football career at his dad’s old club, West Ham United, joining the youth team in 1994. He remained there until signing with London club Chelsea in 2001 for £11 million. Still at Chelsea, Frank is now rated as one of the greatest English footballers of all time, and is the highest scoring midfield player in Premier League history. In 2008 he became the highest paid footballer in the UK and was named the Premier League Player of the Decade the following year.

Being a Tory supporter and attending public school, Frank may not seem like your typical footballer, but in 2000 he popped up on the front pages in typical footballing fashion – in a leaked holiday sex tape alongside Rio Ferdinand and Kieron Dyer. The following year he was fined by his club for his drunken behaviour at Heathrow Airport.

As for WAGs, Frank was engaged to Spanish model Elen Rivas from 2001 to 2008, and the couple had two children, Luna and Isla. Frank’s current WAG is top TV totty Christine Bleakley. The couple began dating in October 2009 and, totally smitten, they announced their engagement in June 2011.
