Biography
The Hills star and one of the youngest plastic surgery addicts we’ve ever encountered, Heidi Montag moved to her synonymous state of California from Colorado to study at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. It was there that she met her one-time pal Lauren Conrad, who was the star of MTV’s hit reality show Laguna Beach.
After moving to LA to study at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, MTV created a spin-off series for the pair of blonde bombshells. The Hills, which launched in May 2006 followed Lauren’s move to LA and her new circle of, mostly blonde, wealthy, inane friends. It’s a reality show, but is heavily scripted.
Heidi dropped out of college to become an events manager (ie, party 24/7) and starred in The Hills for four of its six year run. She was signed up for all six series, but was removed from the show after her husband and co-star Spencer threatened to kill one of the show’s producers.
She and Spencer went on to become the most publicity-hungry couple in LA, and that’s saying something. They starred in I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, frequently storming out of the jungle, and faked a divorce to boost their column inches.
Heidi has gone on to launch a hugely unsuccessful pop career and had undergone at least 13 plastic surgery procedures by the age of just 24. She now says that she regrets going under the knife.
