Biography:
Mad Men hottie January (yep, it is her real name) was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where her parents named her after a character in the 1975 movie Once is Not Enough. She grew up in a small rural town with a population of just 400. After graduating high school, she put off going to college, working at Dairy Queen before deciding to move to New York.
There she found work as a model, including work for Abercrombie & Fitch. Through her modelling work doing TV commercials, January realised she had a flair for acting. The fact that she had no formal training didn’t phase her and she pursued TV and movie roles.
After a couple of go-nowhere cable TV shows and made-for-TV movies, she landed a few blink-and-you’ll-miss-it parts in Adam Sandler’s Anger Management, Love Actually, and that dodgy Dirty Dancing sequel. Then came her big break in 2007, landing the role of blonde bombshell Betty Draper in the iconic TV series Mad Men. She has since gone on to star alongside Liam Neeson in Unknown and as part of the Hollywood blockbuster movie series in X-Men: First Class in 2011.
January used to date Ashton Kutcher, pop-era hunk Josh Groban, and most recently, Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis. Jason and January split, ironically, in January 2011. In April 2011, January announced that she’s expecting her first baby, but has yet to tell us who the daddy is.
