Biography
Hollywood star Jennifer had a very conservative upbringing, going to church every week and forbidden from wearing make up. Studying ballet from the age of 3, she majored in drama at university and moved to New York to pursue an acting career.
She landed the usual TV movie fluff and bit parts in shows like Law & Order (is there an actor alive who hasn’t starred in that show?!), landing a small role in the Woody Allen film Deconstructing Harry in 1997.
Her feature film breakthrough came with the hit comedy Dude, Where’s My Car? in 2000 playing Ashton Kutcher’s girlfriend (lucky girl). Next came a string of Hollywood blockbusters, including Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can and two films alongside her future hubbie Ben Affleck, Pearl Harbour and the monsterhit comicbook spin-off Daredevil.
Her first lead role was in the first of many rom-coms, 13 Going on 30, followed by a smash-hit TV series, Alias, by JJ Abrams of Lost fame.
A pretty bland actress, Jennifer’s tried to mix things up a bit with edgier roles in Juno and war drama The Kingdom, but always comes back to feelgood fluff, smiling winningly alongside the likes of Matthew McConaughey. Along the way she’s become more than a bit of a sex symbol, topping the Maxim Hot 100 list in 2002.
She also has a real thing for co-stars, marrying Felicity co-star Scott Foley, then dating Alias co-star Michael Vartan, before marrying Ben Affleck in 2005.
