Kate Middleton is well-known for being the wife of the handsome (yet ever so slightly horsey) Prince William. Kate was born in Berkshire in 1982 where she grew up with her family.
The Middleton’s set up a business called Party Pieces in 1987 selling party supplies and decorations. Kate, who loves a good party, is known to help out from time to time. She met Wills whilst studying History of Art at the University of St Andrews in Fife and they soon fell in lurve.
Before solely concentrating on her duties as a royal WAG, Kate worked as an accessory buyer for popular Brit clothing store Jigsaw (Jigsaw have designed items worn by the likes of Reese Witherspoon, Annasophia Robb and Jennifer Stone…oooo!). There was Kate delicately dipping her toe into the fashion pool but little did she know she would soon be the one becoming a national style icon.
The immaculate and stylish Kate has featured in People magazine’s best-dressed list twice and Vanity Fair’s International best-dressed list. A girl after our own hearts, Kate has been seen in both high street and high fashion attire which has made her a lot more relatable to the public. She has become so iconic she’s even getting her own waxwork model at Madame Tussauds!
Her relationship with Wills looked very promising indeed and women of the Heat office united in surfing the web for some big ol’ extravagant hats. Alas, in 2007 news spread across the nation that the couple had parted ways. Sob!
Wait, put those hankies away! The couple reunited (much to the country's delight) and announced their engagement in 2010. Kate has attended numerous events alongside her fiancée and fascination with the couples relationship has even resulted in a TV Movie across the pond, William and Kate shown in the US on the 18th April.
The Royal Wedding happened on the 29th April 2011. Most of the world tuned in to watch the amazing event and even Pippa's (Kate's sister) bottom couldn't upstage Kate on the big day.
After the wedding the couple went on a world tour where Kate painted a snail and William won a dragon boat race. It was all totes rah!
