Biography:
After growing up in Warrington and leaving school at 16 to become a lap dancer, it isn’t surprising that Kerry Katona has had quite the turbulent career! Gracing our telly’s in her new show Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter, we’re granted a peek into a calm and collected Kerry after a career overhaul of epic proportions in 2010.
Kerry first found fame in singing trio Atomic Kitten back in the 90’s when scrunchies and spice girl platforms were the height of sophistication. She embraced bubblegum pop with open arms achieving chart success with hits Right Now and Whole Again.
After becoming pregnant with former Westlife member Brian McFadden, Kerry left the band. Dubbed the high-street Posh and Becks, the pair married and had 2 children but it didn’t last long. Their bitter divorce was splashed all over the media …Though we’re still holding out for a duet.
Kerry picked herself back up getting stuck in to jungle life in 2004’s edition of I’m A Celebrity..Get Me Out Of Here! Our Kezza went on to win the title of 'Queen Of The Jungle' and was accepted into the nations heart, even landing a job as the face of Iceland.
Kerry has made countless TV appearances (some good, some bad), released novels/autobiographies, written a coloumn in OK! Magazine and starred in 4 reality shows documenting her life.
In 2007 she married the oh-so-loveable Mark Croft and they had 2 children. It was then that her life seemed to spiral as she became involved in drug taking which only worsened her bipolar condition.
Needless to say Kerry divorced Croft (like you didn’t already know!) and started afresh after being declared bankrupt. Her new management has a strict no drugs/no Mark rule and she’s now got in shape, owns a new home and might we say a lovely new do’, she appears happier and healthier than ever.
After finishing her recent stint in the new series of Dancing On Ice she’s even bagged herself a new man, former Take Me Out contestant Dan Foden. Currently she’s trying to break into acting and it appears as if nothing is going to rain on Kerry’s parade….Just don’t mention King Prawn Rings.
