Biography
NBA basketball star Kris was born into a sporty family in Minneapolis and was a record-breaking championship swimmer before he hit his teens. At the age of 12 he swapped the swimming pool for the basketball court, becoming his high school team’s star player.
While at school he was named State Player of the Year by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, averaging a double-double in his final three seasons. To be honest, we don't really know what is, but we’re pretty sure it means he's a dab hand at basketball.
Enrolling at the University of Minnesota, Kris broke countless basketball records. He set the college record for the most points by a freshman and was named the best freshman player out of twelve of America’s top college basketball teams in 2004.
Kris progressed to NBA level in 2004, signing to Utah Jazz for two seasons, the Toronto Raptors for three, the Dallas Mavericks for a year, becoming a New York Nets star player in 2010.
Kris first came to our attention in the UK when he began dating reality TV starlet Kim Kardashian. The couple got engaged May 2011, with Kris spelling out ‘Will You Marry Me?’ in rose petals in their bedroom and presenting her with a whopping 20.5 carat $2 million ring. After a start like that we’d say yes too. Kris is due to wed Kim in August 2011 in what looks set to be the most ridiculously OTT ceremony we’ve seen since Katie and Peter.
