Biography
One of the coolest young actresses in Hollywood, Kristen was born into the business. Her dad is a TV producer and stage manager and her mother is a script supervisor. Her mum hails from Australia and she has two brothers, Cameron and Taylor.
With both of her parents working behind the scenes on TV and movies in LA, Kristen always dreamed of becoming a moviemaker or scriptwriter and didn’t give much thought to a career in front of the cameras. That said, she officially began her acting career at the age of eight, with several small film roles coming her way.
She first came to prominence on screen with her role alongside Jodie Foster in the Hollywood blockbuster Panic Room, for which she won a Young Artist Award. By the time she got her big break Kristen had already starred in 18 films, mostly playing introverted teens and troubled kids.
In 2007 she won the role of Bella in the hugely successful supernatural saga Twilight. Teen girls (and grown women) the world over swooned at her on screen romance with Robert Pattinson, possibly the sexiest vampire of all time. Turns out Kristen swooned too, and the two began dating, becoming the coolest pale and interesting couple to step out of Hollywood since Johnny Depp hooked up with Winona.
