Leo’s career follows the same trajectory as almost every other LA kid searching for fame in Hollywood - he started out acting in commercials, then landed roles in daytime soaps and sitcoms, then made his big screen debut in a daft horror movie. But there was something different about Leo...
He wowed the critics with his performances as a kid in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and Marvin’s Room, then he wowed us again as a teen in Romeo + Juliet and The Basketball Diaries. We were officially in love with him at this point. He then achieved international fame in 1997, falling to his icy death in the freezing Atlantic in Titanic. The whole world was now officially in love with him at this point.
Choosing his films wisely, with a penchant for psychological thrillers, Leo’s since gone on to become the highest paid actor in Hollywood. Along the way he’s become a firm Martin Scorcese favourite too. The two have teamed up for box office hits like The Aviator, The Departed and Shutter Island. Leo’s most recent hit was with the award-winning mindbender Inception, and he now owns his own production company.
As you might expect from a drop dead gorgeous Hollywood multimillionaire, Leo’s bedroom’s seen more supermodel action than the catwalks.
