Biography
Lily Allen, the outspoken daughter of actor/musician Keith Allen is a celeb with her fingers in a lot of pies. She found fame independently through her MySpace music account which became so popular that in 2005 she was offered a record deal!
Lily is well known for her opinionated and no holds barred attitude (Let’s just say if we’re playing Dodgeball, Lily’s on our team) and she also coined the prom dress/trainer look which made her a fashion icon of the noughties. Her individual sound and style brought her quick success and her first single Smile sent her bounding in those squeaky trainers straight to the number 1 spot! She followed Smile up with a string of successful singles and albums.
Lily’s interest soon turned to her second passion; fashion. She’s said to borrow clothes from Chanel on a regular basis. Karl Lagerfeld even hired her as the face of the company for the promotion of a new line of handbags. If that wasn’t enough, Lily won Glamour magazines Women Of The Year Award in 2008 and Best Dressed Celeb due to her collaboration of both designer labels and high street tags.
Lily is best known for her ability to voice her opinion on anyone and anything, which is why we love her (and twitter) so. Some of her rifts have been between celebs such as Elton John, Bob Geldof and Katy Perry.
Her latest show From Riches To Rags follows her and her sisters idea to own a shop that would hire out high fashion clothes to members of the public at reasonable prices, it has gained a very generous following however Lily has now stated her dream would be to have a family and settle down in the countryside out of the public eye.
This could very soon become a reality as of Christmas 2010 Lily got engaged to partner Sam Cooper. Somehow we don’t see Lily spending her days baking cakes and cleaning out a barn..or maybe we just don’t want to.
