Biography
Descended from a prominent Costa Rican family, this ridiculously beautiful actress wanted to be a concert pianist. But after her piano teacher died, she gave up the instrument and studied cinema and journalism at the University of Southern California. She didn't like classes, though, and preferred to act in the uni's theatre.
She was noticed by an agent and then her career took off: she was in The Amazing Spider-Man, Little House on the Prairie, The Last of the Mohicans, Twelve Monkeys (alongside Brad Pitt) and We Were Soldiers. In 2003, she stopped acting to settle on a ranch in Texas with her husband Brian Benben and their daughter May. She returned to TV movies in 2005, though, and got the role of the fabulously evil Victoria Grayson in Revenge in 2011.
In April 2012 she came fifth in People magazine's annual Most Beautiful Woman list.
