Biography
Child-star-turned-wannabe-wild-child Miley was born into the music biz. Her dad is country legend Billy Ray Cyrus, and her godmother is another country legend, Dolly Parton. Raised by a religious family, Miley went to church every week growing up and wore a purity ring. For a while.
Ata young age Miley decided she wanted to act. She got an agent and received her first movie role in Tim Burton’s Big Fish aged 11. Her big, and we mean, big break came though when she successfully won the role of Hannah Montana at the age of 12.
Miley was now the star of the biggest Disney phenomenon of all time, and a new tween idol was born. After four Hannah Montana seasons and one movie, Miley has gone on to become one of the top young earners in Hollywood. She made $54 million in 2010 alone!
After releasing six Hannah Montana albums and three of her own studio albums, Miley’s currently working on her fourth. She released her first ‘serious’ film, The Last Song, in 2010, and has two more movies in the pipeline.
Keen to shake off her Disney image, Miley’s done a sterling job, appearing in leaked saucy pics, a leaked video of her smoking a bong, a leaked video of her performing a lap dance, and she pole danced at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.
