Biography:
The most famous hot bod to come out of the land of Oz since Elle McPherson, Miranda Kerr was born in Sydney and grew up racing motorbikes around the Aussie outback where she grew up. She caused a media brew ha ha when she won the Dolly Magazine/Impulse Model Competition, leading to her modelling swimwear at the tender age of 13.
Going on to study health psychology and nutrition, she became famous in Australia modelling for the popular surfwear brand Billabong before heading to New York to model fulltime. She strutted her stuff on the catwalk for Balenciaga and Roberto Cavalli and hit the big time in 2006 becoming the face of Maybelline in the US.
She starred on Project Runway the same year before becoming the first ever Aussie model to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel, replacing Gisele Bundchen in 2007. Her Victoria’s Secret exposure led to high profile modelling gigs for Prada and by 2010 she was the 9th top-earning model in the world.
A yoga and health obsessive, Miranda launched her KORA organic skincare line in 2009. She dated model and The City star Jay Lyon (formerly known as Brent Tuhtan) from 2003 to 2007, before marrying Orlando Bloom in 2010. The couple had a baby boy, Flynn, in January 2011, with Miranda getting back on the runway at Paris Fashion Week just two months after giving birth.
