Biography
Nadia Swahilia is best known for playing hard-nosed Annie Palmer in Eastenders between 1997 and 1999. Before her Easties debut Nadia also appeared in The Bill and Casualty.
After a stint of presenting on Loose Women, Nadia became a fully fledged TV regular. Since 1999 she has fronted four series of Passport to the Sun, the Total series, TV Mail, Heir Hunters, Perfect Partner and Family Exchange.
Nadia has also graced our screens on Living in the Sun and Down Under, a series which followed Brits moving abroad. We are starting to see a rather sunny theme to Nadia’s TV work...
Nadia was Adrian Child’s original co-presenter on the One Show when it first aired in 2007, however decided to not return to film the second series after she discovered she was pregnant. She was replaced with Mylenne Klass (no comment).
After winning Celebrity Masterchef in 2007, beating stiff competition from Craig Revel Horwood and Midge Ure, Nadia was asked to host Junior Masterchef.
Nadia has managed to combine her evident love of food and sun in 2008, presenting Eating in the Sun. The show was produced by her husband and challenged Nadia to recreate famous chefs' most memorable holiday meals. Sounds er, fab.
However all that eating must have caught up with her, leading to her 2010 fitness vid entitled Nadia Sawalha: Fat To Fab, which she made after losing three and a half stone.
On Christmas Day in 1997, just months after their split, Nadia's first husband of five years Justin Mildwater tragically committed suicide.
Nadia has since remarried TV producer Mark Adderley and the couple have two daughters, Maddy and Kiki.
