Biography

Girls Aloud singer and wannabe solo star Nadine began singing at the age of 12. At 16, she entered the Irish Popstars talent series where Louis Walsh was a judge. She won a place in the band Six, but was disqualified when they found out she underage. Regardless, Louis was impressed and encouraged Nadine to audition for the UK version of the show.

Successfully auditioning for Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, she was teamed up according to a public vote with Cheryl, Kimberley, Nicola and Sarah to form one of the most successful bands in British music history, Girls Aloud.

With the band, Nadine’s notched up a whopping 20 consecutive top ten singles, four number-one singles, two number-one albums, and five BRIT Award nominations. Following their dizzying success, the band announced they’d take a break in 2009 to pursue solo interests.

Nadine released her debut solo album and single, Insatiable, in November 2010 in a deal with Tesco. Competing with Cheryl for solo pop glory, Nadine failed miserably with the album peaking at number forty-seven on the album chart. She’s now looking forward to reliving her chart-topping days on the Girls Aloud reunion tour in 2012.

These days Nadine’s living in LA where she owns a pub in Orange County. On the man front, she dated high school sweetheart turned professional footballer Neil McCafferty until 2003, Desperate housewives hunk Jesse Metcalfe until 2007, and got engaged to American football player Jason Bell, but the couple split in May 2011.
