Biography
Possibly the world’s most beautiful actress ever, even when bald, Natalie was born in Jerusalem, Israel. Her mum works as her agent and her dad is a fertility specialist. The family moved to America when Natalie was three, settling in Long Island, New York, in 1990.
Natalie began dancing at age four and attended theatre camps during school holidays. She turned down a modelling contract at age ten to concentrate on her acting career. Natalie’s break came in 1994 with her first movie role. Aged just 13, she gave a critically acclaimed performance in the cult hit Leon.
She went on to star in Woody Allen’s Everyone Says I Love You and Mars Attacks! before being cast as Padme Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy in 1997. The role resulted in international superstardom and proved that you can still be a sex symbol when covered in face paint.
While filming Star Wars, Natalie enrolled at Harvard University, gaining a psychology degree in 2003. Now official Hollywood royalty, Natalie has starred in The Other Boleyn Girl, Wes Anderson’s The Darjeeling Limited, shaved her head for V for Vendetta, single-handedly created a ballet fashion craze with her Oscar-winning performance in The Black Swan and played the female lead in the 2011 blockbuster Thor.
Having dated actor Gael Garcia Bernal and singer Devendra Banhart, Natalie got engaged to gorgeous ballet dancer and Black Swan choreographer Benjamin Millepied in December 2009, giving birth to the couple’s first child, Alef, in June 2011.
