Biography:
Lanky robot-dancing football ace Peter was born in Macclesfield but spent the first four years of his life living in Singapore. He began his professional football career in 1998 with Tottenham Hotspur after playing for their youth team. They sold him to QPR for a measly £60,000 in 2000.
Peter has played as a striker for some of the top teams in the country and has moved around quite ab bit over the years. Following moves to Portsmouth in 2001, Aston Villa in 2002 for £5 million, and Southampton for £2.5 million, Liverpool bought him in 2005 for a cool £7 million. Tottenham realised what they’d been missing and bought him back in 2009 for around £10 million, a whopping £9.4 million more than they had sold him for in the first place! He played his first game for England in 2005, going on to score 22 goals in 42 England appearances.
Peter began dating model Abbey Clancey in 2006 and the couple became instant tabloid fodder. There were the usual sex texts, and a moment of indiscretion with a stripper in Madrid, but Abbey took Peter back and the pair married in a flashy ceremony in June 2011. They have one daughter together, Sophia Ruby, born in March 2011.
