Biography
The second in line to the British throne, Wills was the first child of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. He attended the Ludgrove School, and then Eton, where he studied geography, biology and history of art at A-Level. His parents wanted him to have as normal a childhood as possible, with Princess Diana taking him to McDonalds and Disneyland. In 1997, his mother died in a car accident, and he has since gone on to champion her humanitarian work, becoming the patron of Centrepoint, and working for HIV/AIDS and landmines charities.
After school, William took a gap year, teaching in Chile and Kenya, living with the other teachers, washing the dishes and cleaning the toilet! He also volunteered as a DJ at a local Chilean radio station. In 2001, he enrolled at St. Andrews University to study History of Art. This led to a boost in admissions for the university, with female admissions rising sharply!
Following university, Wills decided to go into the armed forces, graduating from the Sandhurst military college in December 2006. His position as heir to the throne meant he couldn't serve in armed combat, so he now works as a flight lieutenant in the RAF Search and Rescue Force.
It was at university that William first met the love of his life Kate Middleton. Their relationship was followed closely by, well, everyone, until they finally wed in a beautiful ceremony at Westminster Abbey on 29 April 2011, watched by 24.5 million people in the UK alone.
