Biography:
Pint-sized ex-OC star Rachel was born into a showbusiness family in LA. Her dad was a writer and director, her great-grandmother a screenwriter, her grandfather a film director and her mum, well, she’s a sex therapist.
Rachel began acting in high school and went on to star in commercials for Subway and the gooey Pink anti-gas medicine Pepto-Bismol. She made her TV debut in 2003 appearing in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and in the same year hit our screens in her major breakthrough, The OC. Rachel played Summer Roberts in the smash hit teen show for its entire run from 2003 to 2007.
She made her movie acting debut alongside Scrubs star Zach Braff in 2006’s The Last Kiss and is currently set to star in the upcoming TV series Hart of Dixie, created by Josh Scwartz, the man behind The OC. Alongside acting, Rachel’s gone on to become a bit of a boho fashion icon and has launched her own fashion line, Edie Rose, with DKNY Jeans.
As for boys, Rachel began dating her OC co-star Adam Brody in 2003. Yes. That’s right. Summer and Seth, together in real life! Well, for three years anyway. She then met actor Hayden Christensen in 2007 and they were engaged by 2008. The couple split in 2010 but within a few months were back dating again.
