Biography

@RochelleTheSats

Pop star Rochelle was born in Barking, and her parents split up when she was three years old. She attended a girl’s school in Romford before heading on to the Colin’s Performing Arts School, where she perfected her dance moves and singing technique.

In a sort of X Factor for kids, CBBC launched a talent show hoping to produce a kiddie version of the then popular pop group S Club 7. Rochelle auditioned when she was 12 and went on to win a place in S Club Juniors in 2001. They later changed their name to S Club 8, perhaps to reflect the average age of their band members.

The band did surprisingly well chart-wise, earning six top ten hit singles in the UK!

When she’d grown out of S club however, her talents weren’t going to be wasted for long. No sooner had she hung up the towel with them, she snared an audition for the Saturdays.
Alongside Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White, Mollie King and Una Healy – she and The Saturdays toured with Girls Aloud, notching up nine top ten UK singles to date. The band is set to release their new single later in 2012.

In July 2012 she flew to America with the girls to begin filming for a new reality TV show. The programme will be charting their attempt to break the music business across the pond. The girls have had their own television show before in 2010 called, The Saturdays 24/7. They’re old hands at the TV game now.

Rochelle dated Charlton Athletic goalkeeper and childhood sweetheart Darren Randolph for four years before they ended their relationship in 2009. After the split she was romantically linked to former England player, Teddy Sheringham. In 2010 she started dating JLS band member Marvin Humes. The path to true love didn’t always run smoothly however as the couple split up shortly afterwards due to work commitments. But after realising that actually, they were pretty perfect together, the couple reunited after two months, getting 2011 off to a bang!

The couple later went on to get engaged and eventually got married in a lavish ceremony in July 2012. They tied the knot in Blenheim Palace in front of a huge crowd of celebrity friends and family members. As you do.
