Biography:
The world’s most famous vampire slayer was born and raised in New York City by her single mum, a nursery school teacher. Sarah was a keen performer from an early age and graduated from the Fiorello LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in 1995.
Spotted by a talent agent in as restaurant at the age of four, Sarah began landing teeny tiny roles in commercials, made-for-TV movies and TV series. Her first real break came before Buffy stardom, when she landed a role in the hit daytime soap All My Children. It was here that she met fellow future Buffy co-star Michelle Trachtenberg.
Sarah originally auditioned for the part of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but after being screen tested eleven times she finally landed the lead role in 1997. Global super-duper-hyper-stardom followed, and we’ve had trouble calling Sarah anything but Buffy ever since.
Following her time as vampire slayer, Sarah’s starred in hit movies like Scream 2, Scooby-Doo, I Know What You Did Last Summer and The Grudge. She’s also famously smooched the face off Selma Blair in Cruel Intentions, and she married the totally drop dead gorgeous Freddie Prinze Junior in 2002 too. The couple have one daughter, Charlotte Grace, who was born in 2009.
Sarah’s latest major role and big comeback to the small screen is in the new thriller series Ringer, which is set to air in the UK in late 2011. We can’t wait!
