Biography

Tara is the ultimate it girl. Privately educated with brainbox exam results, Tara landed a job at a high flying bank, however soon realised that it would be much more fun partying for a living and so she did just that, becoming a well known socialite while Paris Hilton was just a pre schooler. For much of the 90’s, Tara’s life consisted of champagne, celebrity parties and premieres.

But Tara’s fame really kicked off in 1995, after she was regularly pictured in the super rah Tatler magazine, she soon became a permanent fixture in the gossip columns. During this time she even got columns of her own, writing about her lifestyle in various newspapers and magazines including The Sunday Times.

However, Tara took her partying a little too seriously and ended up with a £400 a day cocaine habit which put her in rehab in 1999. She has since suffered the legacy of her addiction and in 2006, her septum collapsed and Tara underwent a £6,000 operation to reverse the damage.

Tara came back into the limelight in 2002 when she appeared on I’m a Celebrity, Get me Out of Here! Gaining huge popularity with the public she was eventually crowned Queen of the Jungle, second to Tony Blackburn who was King, obvs.

Since then, she has since done a spot of TV presenting on shows such as SM:TV and Popworld, dabbled with radio work, presenting on LBC, tried her hand fashion modelling, penned a few novels and even recorded an album (of music, yes.).
