Biography
R-Pattz’ BFF Tom was born into a showbiz London family. Both of his grandparents were actors, his mum is an actor and his dad is a director. He attended the incredibly old and incredibly expensive Winchester College but dropped out before his A levels to pursue acting.
Tom landed his first role in 1996 in the US TV adaptation of Gulliver’s Travels, which was directed by his dad. His next appearance came in 2004 with his performance in the period drama Vanity Fair alongside Reese Witherspoon, R-Pattz and Rhys Ifans. He starred with Rhys again in the British swinging sixties comedy The Boat That Rocked in 2009
Tom debuted in West End theatre in 2009’s Punk Rock, winning Most Outstanding Newcomer at the Evening Standard and the Critics’ Circle Awards for his performance. He is set to star in the forthcoming movie adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road.
Tom is famously best pals with Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson, who attended the same school as Tom’s brother and sister. He’s been linked to Camilla Belle and Brit actress Carey Mulligan, but since May 2011 has been officially dating older lady Sienna Miller.
