Biography
Victoria Beckham rose to fame as Victoria Adams, one fifth of The Spice Girls, better known as Posh Spice.
Fresh out of performing arts college, Victoria landed a place in a fledgling girl band called the Spice Girls. Little did she know they would go on to become the biggest girl band of all time, their first single Wannabe went to number one in a whopping 29 countries.
After the Spice Girls split, Posh dabbled with a solo career, reaching no.2 with Out of Your Mind featuring Dane Bowers.
However, it’s in the fashion industry where she really found her feet, designing initially for brands such as Rock and Republic before designing her own labels, dVb denim and Victoria Beckham, worn by the likes of Nicole Scherzinger and Cameron Diaz.
A fact to prove her fashion credentials: Victoria once appeared on the cover of fashion bible Vogue three times in one year.
Victoria met her hubby, footballer David Beckham in 1997. She famously let the world know his ‘Golden Balls’ nickname during an appearance on Parkinson.
Posh and Becks married in an amazingly lavish ceremony in which they each had a throne, and later moved into a Herfordshire mansion which became known as Beckingham Palace.
They have four children together. Brooklyn Joseph was born on 4 March 1999 in London, Romeo James followed on 1 September 2002 and was also born n London. On 20 February 2005 the family welcomed their third son Cruz David, and on 10 July 2011 the Beckhams welcomed their little girl Harper Seven.
Their marriage was rocked in 2004, when their PA Rebecca Loos claimed that Becks had an affair with her while the couple were living in Madrid. However, David denied this and Victoria has even said the rumours eventually made their marriage stronger.
Due to David’s football, the pair have moved around and in 2007 they moved to L.A. where Posh got right in with the Hollywood crowd, mixing with Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith to namedrop a couple. Victoria even appeared as a guest judge on American Idol, however to mixed reviews.
