Amy's dad says she'll die young
Amy Winehouse's dad, Mitch, has spoken out about his daughter's addictions, claiming unless she gets help she will die young. Amy and husband Blake Fielder-Civil jetted out to the Caribbean island of St Lucia at the weekend and promised friends they would stay clean during their trip, but have no plans to remain clean long-term. Get a frickin' grip guys – have you looked in the mirror recently? It's skank central. In an interview Mitch tells of how he "wanted to die" when he saw pictures of his daughter and Blake with cuts and scratches all over them after a furious fight last week. Mitch said, "It was sickening seeing those pictures. No, it was worse than sickening – I wanted to die."
 
Madge adopting baby girl called Mercy
Madonna is adding to her brood yet again, after being given the go ahead to adopt a second orphan from Malawi. The singer has been told that she can take a 13-month-old girl called Mercy as a sister for 22-month-old David Banda, her first adopted child, Lourdes, 10, and Rocco, 7.  A source close to the family said: "Madonna's over the moon that she's been told she can take Mercy… Madonna calls her her smiling angel." Blimey, she'll be catching Angelina up at this rate…

Three-day drugs binge preceded Owen suicide
Owen Wilson's suicide attempt at the weekend followed a three-day drugs binge on powerful painkillers dubbed "hillbilly heroin" and crystal meth. The actor, who also slashed his wrists, had a history of self-harm too, it emerged. Owen, 38, had apparently plunged into a "cloud of depression" following his split with actress Kate Hudson in May. It is feared that the bender that ended in a hospital dash was caused by seeing pictures of Kate kissing new man Dax Shepard on the weekend. Last night, the Wedding Crashers star is said to be in "good" condition at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, LA, following the scare.

Lindsay and Calum – it's all over!
Not desperately surprising this one: it looks as though it's all over for serial shagger Calum Best and on/off/in/out girlfriend Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay, who recently spent a day in jail for drink-driving and has been in and out of rehab for her troubles, has been dumped by the master swordsman because (friends claim) she is too busy with her own problems to service him! One friend claimed, "Calum is a hot-blooded male and he just feels it's hard enough seeing Lindsay at the best of times, but he is never going to see her now." And who said romance was dead?!
