Now Simon Cowell lays into Britney!
Blimey, heatworld is starting to feel sorry for Britney Spears – the latest person in a very long queue of people lining up to give her a tongue lashing (and not in that way) over her lazy performance at this weekend's VMAs is TV's Mr Nasty, Dame Simon Cowell. In true Simon style he let rip claiming she would have been chucked out in the first round of auditions for The X Factor for such poor effort. He said; "The song wasn't right, the image wasn't right and she just wasn't rehearsed. If she had turned up at The X Factor auditions I wouldn't have put her through the next round. The problem now is that she could have killed her career." He's never one to mince his word that Simon.
Sharon's 5,000-mile dash to see sick pooch
We’ve always known how much Sharon Osbourne loves her dogs, and yesterday she proved just how much by making a 5,000-mile dash to be by the side of one of her pooches after it was taken ill. The X Factor judge, who was only visiting the UK to support daughter Kelly’s first appearance in the musical Chicago, was distraught after hearing that her favourite mutt Minnie was gravely ill. The fluffy white Pomeranian, who has appeared in The Osbournes and The X Factor, was by Sharon’s side for years and was with her throughout her tough battle with cancer. We hope you get better soon, Minnie.
Blue the latest band to reform
It's amazing how Take That's successful reunion has struck a chord with so many other has-been groups, isn't it? The latest to jump on the band wagon is Blue – who are thinking about reuniting. The boys, sorry men, Duncan James, Simon Webbe, Lee Ryan and Antony Costa met over the weekend in London to discuss the possible comeback. A source said; The lads met up after Duncan's last night on stage to see if they could decide on a plan. Duncan is the only one who needs convincing. The others want to reform."
ITV try to woo Alan Carr for Blind Date. Brilliant!!
Bosses at ITV have reportedly offered Alan Carr a lucrative deal to leave Channel 4 to host a new series of Blind Date! Ever since Cilla quit the show back in 2003, ITV have been searching for a worthy replacement – and they think Alan would be perfect for the job. A close pal of the Friday Night Project star said he’s “very flattered”, but Channel 4 have insisted he’s about to sign a new deal with them. We don't mind much either way, because as long as he's on TV as much as possible then that's good news for us!
