The 9 O'Clock News – Thurs 20 Sept

Double-gong victory for Amy Winehouse
Despite her recent troubles, the Winehouse was the toast of the town last night as she won two Best Female awards at two different ceremonies. As well as scooping Best UK Female at the MOBOs, she was awarded Best Female at the inaugural Vodafone Live Music Awards, hosted by Chris Moyles. After beng hailed for her powerful voice, critics found fault with Amy's MOBOs performance of Me And Mr Jones and Tears Dry On Their Own – but at least she turned up. The main winners for the Vodafone gongs were a no-show and Amy even sent the landlord of her local pub to pick up her award.

Lindsay in hot water again
It was only a matter of time before Lindsay Lohan hit the headlines again – but for once it's not for drink-driving or drug-related allegations. This time Li-Lo's in trouble over an alleged fling with a millionairess' husband while in rehab. Stephanie Allen, whose family are worth a reported £720m, is said to be devastated over claims Linsday and her husband Tony had sex in a toilet at the Circus Lodge rehab centre, Utah. Tony denies the claims saying they're just good mates but his wife is having none of it. Ouch. heatworld senses there's more to come on this one…

Now Gail’s dog is bald
Gail Porter has revealed that her dog also suffers from alopecia. Missy – a Shar Pei named after rapper Missy Elliott – was diagnosed with auto-immune disease alopecia when Gail took him to the vet after she noticed she was getting bald patches. “When the vet told me I was like, ‘You’re kidding!’” Missy might have to wear a jumper when it gets more chilly in the winter. Bless.

New Blue Peter fix
A Blue Peter boss was suspended last night in yet another scandal. This time it was phone rigging over naming the show's cat. Apparently, producers picked the name Socks – rather than Pussy, which topped an online poll asking viewers for a name. Now Richard Marson has been sent home for ignoring thousands of suggestions from viewers. “If we can’t be honest about the name of a cat, it really is a fiasco,” says an insider. It's the second recent controversy after a fake phone-in in January 2006.
