It's the news!
Kate Moss: “I’m engaged!”
Bloody Nora, she didn't waste any time! Things are obviously going well between Kate Moss and her new man Jamie Hince, as she announced to pals at the weekend, “I’m in love and I’m engaged.” Although the engagement isn’t “formal”, friends say that this is Kate’s way of showing how she is over junkie ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty. “They are clearly totally in love with each other,” a source said. “Everyone knows it’s a message to Pete too, telling him she’s moved on and is happy with her new man.” Hmm, Aunty heatworld's not so sure Kate's over Pete if her main motivation in getting engaged was to hurt him. Celebs eh...?!
Jade's been burgled
Jade Goody is like some kind of trouble magnet. This time her house in Chipping Ongar, Essex, has been targeted by thieves who smashed a window and stole £30,000 worth of valuables including wide-screen TVs and other expensive electrical equipment. And as if that wasn't bad enough, when cops turned up to the house they noticed that Jade's tax disc on her car was out of date. Oops.
Samanda are officially rich, scream etc
Oh my God, despite being runners-up of BB8, twins Sam and Amanda are the real winners of the show having earned themselves a million pounds in the three weeks since leaving the house. We didn’t believe it either, but it seems Britain has gone Samanda mad. They’ve already secured deals including their own fragrance, a teenage skincare range and the old classic – the fitness video. But on top of this, they are releasing their cover of Aqua’s Barbie Girl next week and are currently locked in talks with Miss Selfridge and Jane Norman to design a range of clothes. Sam said: “After BB we thought we might get to do a few personal appearances, but this is unbelievable.”
Simon Cowell saves X Factor contestant's life
Simon Cowell has inadvertently saved a woman's life – after saying she had a funny rasp in her voice. TV's Mr Nasty said club singer Jacqui Gray (the tone deaf one from last week who sang Something Inside So Strong) sounded like she was choking and advised her to see her doctor following a dodgy audition. But instead of branding Si's comments as mean, she took his advice and was later diagnosed with the potentially fatal lung disease bronchiectasis. Jacqui was even told she could have died had she not visited her quack so quickly. Yesterday Jacqui thanked Simon and Sharon Osbourne for their life-saving words, saying, "I want to thank them both. I may not have got through X Factor, but they gave me something much more important than that… they really did save my life."
