Britney gets overnight visits with her boys
Could there finally be a glimmer of light at the end of Britney’s downward spiral? The singer has managed to secure more visitation time with her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and one-year-old Jayden James, including overnight visits. The fallen star’s attorney, Anne Kiley, argued that overnight stays were critical to allow Brit to bond properly with her sons. The only requirement is that a court-appointed monitor must be present during the visits, and Britney’s lawyer has asked if mum Lynne Spears could assume this role. It looks as if the young mum is finally getting the family support she deserves and proving that her little boys really are her main concern.
Uma’s stalker in court
It’s not all fun and games being a celebrity sometimes, as Uma Thurman has discovered. The Kill Bill star has been subjected to an ongoing campaign of harassment by obsessed stalker, Jack Jordan. The 35-year-old, who was only released from a mental hospital this summer, drew pictures of Uma digging her own grave and sent her a letter saying he would kill her if she dated another man. In court yesterday, where he is facing charges of stalking and aggravated harassment, Jordan went on to rant that he would kill himself if Uma went out with another man. Hmmm, bit extreme, maybe? The trial continues.
Cheryl: "I hate Rebecca Loos"
Cheryl Cole has a new target – and it’s Rebecca Loos. The fiery Girls Aloud star, who’s mates with Posh, took a swipe at Rebecca. "That Rebecca Loos, I really, really hate her," she said. "I couldn't believe she'd try and do that. How dare she try and upset them! Anyone who knows them can see how happy and in love they are,” she added. “Victoria's an incredible woman – a fashion icon, businesswoman and a great wife and mother. David just dotes on her. That Rebecca just wants to peddle lies and bulls***. I don't know how she sleeps at night. She's made a career from trying to destroy someone's marriage. She's the lowest of the low.” Cheryl, who’s currently in LA filming a documentary, added that she very nearly came to blows with Rebecca. “I was at a party recently and she turned up,” she continued. “I was so furious that I had to leave or I'd have said something to her. I didn't want to embarrass the host so I just walked out. But it was hard to not give her a piece of my mind.” heatworld would have s-o-o-o loved to see that!
Pete – first dry tour in five years
Pete Doherty plans to celebrate kicking his drug habit with a “dry tour” in booze-free venues. The Babyshambles frontman is in talks for a series of solo gigs, since he cleaned his act up more than two months ago. Pete insists the venues must not serve alcohol since it will be the first time he’s played sober. “Everyone expects him to fall back into it, but he’s confident he can keep on the straight and narrow,” says a source. We're very impressed with this new Pete, heatworld is keeping everything crossed for him.
