Mystery over Britney burglary
It emerged today that a reported break-in at the Britney mansion was actually just an extreme case of paranoia. Police were called to the fallen star’s plush pad on Monday after she became convinced a burglary had taken place, but it soon became clear that no crime had taken place. Is this latest bizarre behaviour a sign that Brit is getting no better? We’re not surprised, though, if we were being followed by a pack of screaming paparazzi wherever we went, we might be a tad paranoid, too. Someone please get this girl some help, pronto!
Kiefer – spending Christmas in jail?
One person who might not be feeling very festive this Christmas is Kiefer Sutherland – as he may be in jail. The 40-year-old star, best known as Jack Bauer in action series 24, has pleaded guilty to a drink-driving charge after being caught at twice the legal alcohol limit. The actor could face up to 18 months in the clink because he was already on probation for an earlier drink-driving charge at the time of his arrest. He will be sentenced on 21 December – which is also his birthday. Let’s hope this teaches him a lesson!

Lily Allen is the latest celeb set to have her own TV show. It didn't work for Sharon Osbourne and it flopped for Davina McCall but TV bosses are not deterred and are speaking with the star about her hosting her own show. Producers have a couple of ideas for Lily including a Parkinson-style chat show which could see Lily grilling fellow celeb pals, a documentary on teenagers or a gritty new music programme. Lily confirmed that she was in talks on her Myspace page, saying, "I'm having meetings about a potential TV show."
