Sexy signing for the Spice Girls
The Spice Girls are celebrating today after signing a whopping £5million deal with lingerie giants Victoria’s Secret. The huge deal, masterminded by the band’s manager Simon Fuller, will see copies of the girls’ Greatest Hits album being sold in stores throughout America, as well as special edition gift boxes including charm bracelets and posters. The girls are understandably chuffed, with Mel B saying, “They do great bras, and every girl wears a bra.”(She’s obviously never met Britney Spears, ahem). The knicker firm are thrilled with the signing too, saying, “The Spice Girls are icons all over the world. We’re so excited about it.” Ooh, calm down, dear. We don’t want you getting your knickers in a twist.
Blazing row between X Factor bands
The X Factor might seem like one big lovefest at times, but behind closed doors, there’s a whole load of squabbling between bands. Staff on the show had to step in when rival bands Futureproof and Hope came to blows – which, since they’re both living under the same roof in north London, isn’t good news at all. “The boys know Simon is especially keen to form a new Spice Girls, so that’s where the rivalry formed,” says a source. “But a row just got a bit out of hand.” We’ll be keeping an eye out for dirty looks on Saturday’s show…
Justin’s mum steps in to help Britney
The latest – and perhaps the most unusual – person to step in and help La Spears is her ex-boyfriend’s mum! Yes, Justin’s Timberlake’s mum Lynn has become a regular visitor to Britney towers over the past few weeks after hearing how much the fallen star was struggling. Lynn, who has know Britney since her Mickey Mouse Club days, said, “I love Britney, She is a sweet girl. I just hate what she’s going through.” Oh what a nice lady. heatworld is trying not to get too excited, but HOW great would it be if Justin and Brit got back together? Scream.
Liz in trouble over “penny-pinching”
Forgive heatworld, but we thought most celebrities were pretty well off. So it came as a shock to us when we heard that Liz Hurley and new hubby Arun Nayar have yet to pay a penny for their own wedding. The couple, who held a ceremony in the rural parish of Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, were not charged the usual fee of £1,000 with the understanding that they would make a separate donation to the church. They still haven’t. The vice-chairman of the Friends of Winchcombe explained, “I think people feel genuinely aggrieved. It does seem to be a slightly grubby case of penny-pinching.” heatworld understands that Liz and Arun have commisssoned some embroidered kneelers(?) for the church. Big whoop. Come on you stingy pair, get your wallets out!
