Amy: "I've been on anti-depressants since I was 16"
Amy Winehouse says that she owes her life to husband Blake Fielder-Civil after her massive drug overdose, saying, "I really thought I was on the way out... My husband Blake saved my life, brought me into hospital." Amy goes on to say that she often doesn't know what she is doing and has made the shocking revelation that she has been on anti-depressants since she was 16. She continues, "Often I don't know what I do. Then the next day the memory returns. Blake told me later what had happened. And then I am engulfed in shame." Opening her heart to German magazine Stern, she adds, "I saw a picture of myself when I came out of hospital. I didn't recognise myself. Since I was 16, I've felt a black cloud hangs over me. Since then, I have taken pills for depression."
Naomi flies into a rage at airport
Nice to see that Naomi Campbell’s anger management classes are working well, isn’t it? The supermodel, known for her temper tantrums, reportedly caused a scene yesterday after missing a transatlantic flight to New York. Naomi turned up 11 minutes before take-off from Heathrow and demanded that she be allowed to board the plane. British Airways offered to let her travel without her luggage and send her bags on another flight, but she shouted, “You are joking. You are always losing my bags and I don’t trust you with mine in a million years.” She then continued her rant, “I can’t believe you won’t allow ME on your flight. What is this?” A witness said: “When BA staff explained she was too late, she exploded and stamped her foot. There was a tirade of abuse.” Naomi was later offered a seat on a later flight, but stormed off in a huff. Try counting to 10 next time, love.
Take That lose out to Leona
Bookies have closed the book on the chart battle between Leona Lewis and Take That – with Leona an absolute cert for the top spot this Sunday. All week Leona has outsold Take That with her single Bleeding Love, but last night she was so far ahead – having sold over 126,000 with the boys lagging behind with 56,000 – that bookies Skybet literally closed the book on any more bets. Ooh, this has been such a hard one for heatworld – we love them both!
Lily falls out with Mark Ronson
Uh-oh, fight alert! Lily Allen apparently had a huge bust-up with Mark Ronson just before she was due to perform at his BBC Electric Proms extravaganza. But the argument was so bad that Lily refused to perform – going to posh celebrity restaurant Nobu instead. Mark told the expectant crowd, “Lilly Allen was supposed to be here, but we had a misunderstanding and she wouldn’t do it. So I looked for the next best girl’s voice in London – here’s Ricky Wilson. We don’t need Lily.” Ricky then sang his Kaiser Chiefs track Oh My God, that Lily covered with Mark Ronson. Celebrity feuds, eh? Don’tcha just love 'em!
