Leona winning chart battle against Take That
Leona Lewis looks set to beat Take That to the No.1 spot this Sunday. Her single Bleeding Love outsold the boys' Rule The World by three to one on
its first day of sales in Woolworths. She was also the No.1 download. But it wasn't only in Woolworths that Leona took the lead – in HMV, a spokesperson said, "We're selling twice as many Leona singles as we are Take That." Oh, we're so torn – we love both!
Insecurity over her looks led to Amy's addictions
Drug-addled Amy Winehouse has spoken about her troubles saying, "I was just doing one destructive thing after the other." But instead of being remorseful about her wayward behaviour she claims she will continue to do things her own way. "Life's too short – just do it. Life's short and I've made a lot of mistakes, you know... I always say don't regret things and I don't say sorry, but I do really. I believe strongly in fate. I believe that everything happens for a reason," she continues. Amy landed herself in hospital following a massive drug overdose in which she took a concoction of drugs including heroin, ketamine, cocaine and ecstasy. But she blames her drug habit on her insecurities over the way she looks, saying, "I'm quite an insecure person. I'm very insecure about the way I look. I mean I'm a musician not a model. The more insecure I felt, the more I drink." But if you've ever wondered about Amy's hair... she says, "And to Tracey Trash who does my hair, I'd be like, 'Bigger! Bigger!' Like the more insecure I feel, the bigger the hair has to be."
Kate’s former love-nest up for sale
Looks like Kate Moss really wants to forget all about her relationship with Pete Doherty (who can blame her?), as she’s now selling the Victorian mansion where she spent most of her time with him. The £3.25million three-storey property is described as a “charming, picturesque hideaway” by estate agent Knight Frank. But being nosey, the best thing that’s come out is that her bedroom is painted in pastel pink (how very Jordan) with wooden floorboards, a king-size mahogany bed and a huge walk-in wardrobe. Kate’s now rumoured to have bought a new house, also in St John’s Wood, for £7million. heatworld is trying VERY hard not to sulk.
Hollywood stars flee Malibu fire
A string of Hollywood A-listers have been forced to evacuate their houses as the Californian wildfires continue to wreak havoc in the celebrity living quarter Malibu. Among the stars whose multimillion houses are under threat are Britney Spears, Olivia Newton-John (Sandy from Grease), former X Files hunk David Duchovny, Mel Gibson, Pierce Brosnan and Pamela Anderson. The fires have already destroyed scores of homes in the area, including popular party venues that Britney and Paris frequent. Jeez, where will they go now?
