Fears deepen for Britney
Britney Spears aunt is the latest family member to speak out about her fears for her niece. Chanda McGovern says she is terrified that Britney's next step will be to take a drug overdose. She said; " We are very worried that things are going to spiral out of control. Instead of her turning to family, she is going to turn to friends she has been hanging with – and the partying and drugs."  The troubled singer, who lost custody of her two children Sean Preston and Jayden James to ex-husband Kevin Federline, has now checked into a hotel and Chanda is worried that this spells the beginning of the end. She added; "Whether it is intentional or accidental, there may be a drugs overdose. We are worried about suicidal tendencies in her... We fear that one day we will turn on the TV and hear she's done something terrible to herself." Is it any wonder Britney turns to her friends with a family like hers?

ANOTHER BBC clanger
Jo Whiley’s Radio 1 show is the latest BBC programme to be hit by the “fake caller” scandal. A spokesperson for the broadcaster said, "A pre-recorded section of Radio 1's Jo Whiley Show on April 20, 2006 featured a phone competition in which a member of BBC staff posed as a caller from the audience.” They added, "We would like to make clear that Jo Whiley was unaware that the caller was not a genuine member of the public.” Jo will apologise on her show today. heatworld is beginning to wonder if there's more scandal at the BBC than there is in a Jilly Cooper novel.

Shayne Ward drafts in extra security over stalker fears
X Factor winner Shayne Ward has stepped up security after a crazed stalker followed him down the street and inundated him with love messages. The star, who hit number two in the charts last week with his comeback single No U Hang Up was bombarded by a woman in her late 20s and has been forced to hire a team of extra security. A source said; " Shayne acts like he's not bothered, but it's really getting to him now. His family and girlfriend are really worried."
