Anne Robinson’s £60m divorce
Anne Robinson is to divorce her husband of 27 years. The Weakest Link star’s marriage to her one-time manager John Penrose has collapsed after the pair grew apart (ie: their mansion got so big, the commute to one another's bedroom proved too much). A friend said: “They’ve lead increasingly separate lives. There’s no acrimony.” John is set to receive half of Anne’s £60million fortune. No wonder there's no flaming acrimony...
Sharon tells X Factor Wannabes: “Don’t waste my time”
Sharon Osbourne says she’s fed up with X Factor contestants who go for the sympathy vote or just come along to auditions as a joke. “I never cease to be amazed by the people who genuinely think they can sing and haven’t the slightest idea that they can’t,” she says. “Rather than talent, they think all they need is a good sob story to push them through – their grandmother’s got a hip operation coming up. Then there are the time-wasters who are doing it just for a bet. What is it with kids? They come out with lines like, 'I’ve worked all my life for this moment,' and the majority of them are under 20! Becks’ dad on the mend
Good news for David Beckham as his dad Ted is said to be recovering well after suffering a major heart attack last week. On hearing that his father was comfortable in the London Chest Hospital, the LA Galaxy star flew back to Los Angeles last night accompanied by Victoria.

The U2 frontman has been roped in to pen a track for the reunited girl band’s forthcoming greatest hits album and world tour. “Bono is a brilliant musician and is up for the challenge and can pull off any sort of musical style,” says an insider. “Expect the unexpected.” Now we just need a special Spice name for him… Old Spice?
